Cultural Exchange Program

Kazan federal university

Hello, I'm Riku Ouchi from Kanazawa University in Japan.
I stayed in the Republic of Tatarstan which is one of the republics that constistute Russia for 2 weeks.
As a conclusion, it was a good experience for me to stay there because of the following reasons.

1. Gained a new technical knowledge thorugh the laboratory life.
Because I could learn a new mechanical skill.
The laboratory that I was assigned to was mainly studied by numerical simulation.
I was confused at that time because I had little experience to use numerical simulation.
But trying anything new would help me grow, so I challenged to do it.
To understand was smooth thanks to the laboratory students's teaching me kindly about its method.
I thought the scope of my study can widen by understanding in more detail.

2. Reaffirmed the importance to build a good relationship
Many people can't convey what they really want to say in English well.
It is important to be able to speak English, but it is even more important to accept cultural differences to build a relationship of trust with all people from my experience visiting 10 countries.
Moreover, having each other's "smiles" is also one of the best way to eliminate language barriers.
For example, when talking with someone, I adjust myself to the foreign culture and keep a smile then the other party will be glad.
That's why I could reaffirm how to get a good relationship.
Of course if I can speak English better, I will be able to enjoy talking with everyone. hahaha

Therefore, the days I spent there became a wonderful time for me.
Why don't you participate in this program if you are interested in even a little bit? You won't regret I convince.

Appendix...
"Очпочмак" which is traditional cuisine in the Republic of Tatarstan is that thing of triangle form, filled with potatoes and meat. I love it!
