My Experience in Russia

Cultural Exchange Program

Moscow, Saint Petersburg

I joined Russian cultural exchange program and visited Moscow, Kazan, and Saint Petersburg. I will write about two points.

First, I will write about nature. In Russia, I saw nature and cities coexist. There was an oil factory next to the forest. I wondered if the factory harms the forest, but it does not happen. Even if there is a factory near the great nature, cedar and Kama river play an important role in protecting nature. I learned that cedar absorbs exhaust gas and that clean water evaporates from the river so that dirty air does not enter the forest. It was a valuable opportunity for me to realize that we do not have to choose nature conservation or formation of a big city. They can coexist.

Second, I will write about culture. The Russian Federation consists of many countries and has various cultures. In Kazan, I experienced the culture of Russia, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. They seemed to be proud of their own culture and to enjoy accepting other culture. We should follow their attitude.

This experience gave me a lot of things. I want to say “Спасибо” to all people who supported me.
