Cultural Exchange Program

kazan state university , saint-petersburg state university

I left Japan for the first time for this program. I met many friends from Russia, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan and so on. At first, there were much anxieties due to differences in the language and the culture (ordinary in each other's county). For example, greetings. In Japan, bows and light handshakes were used, but there were countries that struck hands strongly, countries that hug, and countries that always shake hands with both hands. By understanding each other's country, we were finally able to get along very well. When I parted, I shed tears. We will make use of what we have learned in this program as a member of society from April of next year.
