I took part in a cultural exchange program and visited Russia from August 26th to September 3rd. It was my first visit to foreign country and I had great experience there. I'll tell you about what I learned there.

First, I visited Kremlin and I enjoyed walking around Red Square seeing GUM department store and Saint Basil's Cathedral. I understood why Kremlin was registered as a World Heritage Site. There were some beautiful buildings which had  long  history.  I had great experience in Kremlin. 

I also visited Royce Ostrov National Park and saw elk, deer and boar. I was surprised that there were nature near city.  People thought a great deal of  animal and forest and lived together there. For example, elks injured by a car was protected to return to the wild, wild deer come to the park every summer. In Japan, some people sometimes disregard for animal welfare. However, we should stop it and live together as Russia does. 

In Moscow University, we introduced Japanese culture and Kanazawa University, and learned about Moscow University. I gave a presentation about Japanese anime with my group member in English. Other group played a game with chopstick and Japanese snack. I was happy because Moscow University's students looked interested in Japanese culture and enjoyed it.

We also had a chance to talk with students there. It was special time for me, because I was able to talk with a student who majored in pharmacy as same as me. She said that she wanted to develop medicine in  future. I want to have a high goal like her.

I learned a part of Russian culture, life and histry through my 9-day visit.  There are many differences between other country so you may feel fear when you have a relationship with foreign. But if you accept the difference and know the culture more, you can discover good point and start to like the country, which enable you to have better communication with them. Actualy I had a little scary image to Russia first. But it was completely wrong. Russia had great culture such as beautiful Church and nature and Russian people were kind. Like this I learned it is important for good communication with foreign to know about their country.
