1, Irkutsk city

Irkutsk city is located along the Angara River and it has beautiful nature.
In Irkutsk, there are many historic monuments. I was impressed by various Russian Orthodox Church. All Church has different design and wonderful. I heard interesting story about icon.
According to that story, real icon sometimes cry. I understood Russian have deep faith against Russian Orthodox.
It was also impressive that Irkutsk city has many beautiful parks. In the park, there are lovely flowers. Daniel who is a student at Irkutsk University said that if Russian students have time, they usually take a walk. That’s why Irkutsk city has many parks and comfortable. I felt they live with the calm Angara River and beautiful nature.

 2, Baikal Lake

Baikal Lake was introduced in presentation from Irkutsk University and I think Baikal Lake is familiar and very important. At Irkutsk University, biology and geology are popular subject and many research on Baikal Lake are carried out. Irkutsk University has a partnership with a company and make an effort to protect and maintain nature and ecosystem in Baikal Lake.
In Baikal museum, animals and plants were preserved and I learned academic research is very important to protect nature in Baikal Lake.

3, Conclusion

Through this program, I learned Baikal Lake is necessary for people in Irkutsk city. In human society, people must protect nature. To do that, research and survey are very important. We must study human history that we made use of nature. And we will have to continue make use and protect nature.
