Preventive Medicine Program
The exchange program in Japan is an unforgettable experience. I visited two laboratories: the virus infections and international health lab of Professor Ichimura and immunology lab of professor Hanayama over a two-week period. In each laboratory, I met with a team of professionals who are passionate about their work. In the first week, I worked with a Ph.D. student Hai. My scientific theme is close to his work and we did several experiments together (PCR, electrophoresis, and sequencing). This was a great opportunity to get acquainted with the work in the laboratory. Hai is an excellent teacher who helped me at every stage. The second week was equally productive. Prof. Hanayama engaged in the study of exosomes. I was shown different areas of work and I also participated in several experiments. I would like to emphasize that all with whom we met were very nice, attentive, always ready to help. I was inspired by these people and I want to work together further. I also discovered a bit of Japan with amazing nature, interesting museums, delicious food. I want to believe that this is only the beginning.
