Basic Science Program
Saint Petersburg State University
I took part in Basic Science Program at Saint Petersburg State University for four weeks. I was looking forward to visiting Russia because when I was a first-year college student, I studied Russian for a year.
During this period, I participated in International Conference, Mendeleev 2019 at Saint Petersburg State University. At this conference, I had the opportunity to listen to the presentations of professor and students in various fields. I also made a poster presentation about my research. It was a valuable opportunity to think about my research from different perspectives.
In a laboratory, I did research on polysiloxane. It was a different field so it was difficult for me to understand the reaction mechanism, but I learned a lot of things.
In a holiday, I enjoyed sightseeing. I went to Hermitage Museum, Peterhof Grand Palace and other sightseeing spots. I was impressed by the beautiful view and historical buildings.
I want to make use of my experiences in Russia for my future life.
