I visited Ethnomir. The house of the world and the ethnic culture of regions in Russia were exhibited there.

     I saw a Japanese house on display and found a difference between Russian and Japanese houses. The Japanese house on display was completely different from the current Japanese house, and it was a past Japanese house. I think the house on display was the style from the Heian period. On the other hand, Russian houses on display were not different from the modern ones. I think that the reason why Japanese house styles have changed since the Heian period is that the increase in population due to geographical restrictions and earthquake resistance.
     If Japan was not an earthquake powerhouse, it would be interesting to think that it may have been an old-styled house in Japan today.
