Preventive Medicine Program
I stayed in Kanazawa and participated in an intetnship program at Cancer Research Institute of Kanazawa University here. To meet professors and people working at one of the most famous cancer research centers in Japan was a wonderful experience for me. They all were very kind, benevolent and friendly to us, they explained in details and told us about cutting edge researches they conduct here. It was very interesting and useful experience for me. Also I learned Japanese culture and traditions. We tried so many types of delicious local food here, sometimes even exotic for us in Central Russia, like Sea snails and octopuses. . On the weekends we visited very beautiful "Kenrokuen" garden and ancient Kanazawa castle, which was constructed in 1592. On the next day we were on the Tomurayama mountain. I saw a lot of temples and shrines in the city here and nearby, like Oyama shrine. They were amazing and fascinating. Visiting the Japanese rural onsen was also very pleasant experience for me. People here know very well how to relax. Afterwards every single cell of my body was so happy and pleased. I enjoyed staying here very much. I am so grateful. This exchange program is a great opportunity to learn Japan and Kanazawa.
