It was my first time visiting Moscow.   We went to many landmarks there. Especially, the churches are one of the most impressive things for me because the similarities between Buddhism and Christianity, that is, the similarities between eastern and western culture were obvious.  Our guide, Татьяна told us that every entrance of the churches is located in the same direction. People enter the church from the west and go towards the east to pray in front of icons. Identically, Japanese temples consider direction important. There were some other points in common between the two. I was glad to find things in common in the city far away from my hometown, Kanazawa.

     The transportation system in Russia was also interesting. I usually use a bus or train in Japan, except for airplane or bullet train.  There are buses and metros in Moscow as well. But not only that, there are electric buses. They are different from trams because they do not need rail. A friend of mine in Russia said that she can use buses, metros, trams by the same card named Troyka.  In Kanazawa, we can not use the same card for buses and train, so it seemed convenient. I thought such a developed transportation system is due to the huge land that Russia has.  I will try to find more similarities and differences and meet friends again at the next visiting.
