I participated in the joint symposium between Kanazawa University and Saint Petersburg State University. I introduced my research to professors of Saint Petersburg State University and listened to their presentations on their researches. I major in astrophysics but they study the fields which are different from it. So, it was difficult for me to explain my research to them so that they could understand easily. I practiced hard to introduce my poster in the hotel I stayed.  On the day, there was not so much time, but it was good because they understood my research well.

And, I walked around the city and tried to speak to Russian people positively because I rarely have the chance to talk with them in Japan. It was difficult to communicate with them in English but I was glad to learn Russian life and culture, and talk with them in simple Japanese.    

I recommend you to go to Russia and interact with local people.
