On this trip we met two historical Japanese villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama. Initially, these villages were in the same region, but after the division of territories, they were on the territory of different prefectures and chose a different path of development. The population of one of them decided to stick to the traditional way of life. And the second went on the path of modernization. In the first you will not see a lot of tourists, restaurants or parking lots, only the most beautiful views of the mountains and local houses that fascinated me with their views. In the second village, was attended by all of the above, but in this village came civilization it could not overshadow the beautiful nature, temples and colorful which are in this village.
