Progress Report Meeting for Study-Abroad

425日に「平成30年度春 金沢大学留学成果報告会」を開催し,本学学生2名がロシア留学の成果を報告しました。
20178月のイルクーツク州での文化交流プログラムに参加した,人間社会学域国際学類2年生の大竹さくらさんは,イルクーツク大学で日本語を学習する学生達と共に,ブリヤート民族博物館で「シャーマンとブリヤート文化」について学び,世界最古で世界一の透明度と深さを誇るバイカル湖で,シャーマンによる伝統儀式に参加したこと等を報告しました。大竹さんは,ロシア人学生との交流や,地域により異なる伝統文化に触れるなかで,「ロシアを,ヨーロッパやアジアの枠に収まらない魅力的な国とみなすようになった」,「ロシア(人)を大好きになったのが一番の収穫」と語りました。
20183月のカザン,サンクトペテルブルクでの文化交流プログラムに参加した,人間社会学域経済学類2年生の三宅悠月さんは,カザン連邦大学でタタールスタン共和国とカザン市の歴史や文化に関する講義を受け,サンクトペテルブルク大学を訪問,サンクトペテルブルク医科大学ではプレゼンテーションをしたこと等を報告しました。三宅さんは,美術館や歴史博物館の好きな展示物について目を輝かせて語るカザン連邦大学生の教養の高さに圧倒され,学びとは何かを考えさせられたと語りました。
2人の発表後には,報告会に参加した学生達から質問の声があがり,ロシアに対する本学学生の関心の高さが伺われました。

On April 25th, the “Kanazawa University Progress Report Meeting for Study-Abroad FY2018 Spring” took place, and two students reported on their progress of studying abroad in Russia.
Ms. Sakura Otake, a sophomore who belongs to the School of International Studies, in the College of Human and Social Sciences, participated in the Cultural Exchange Program in Irkutsk in August, 2017. She reported on activities such as visiting the Buryat Museum of Ethnology to learn “Shamanism and Buryat culture” with the students from Irkutsk State University, and joining a traditional ceremony by shaman at Lake Baikal which is regarded as the oldest, deepest, and clearest lake in the world. Through her contact with traditional cultures of various regions, Ms. Otake realized that “Russia is a fascinating country that cannot be categorized as either Europe or Asia.” “I came to love Russia and Russian culture. This is the first fruit of my study-abroad.” she said.
Ms. Yuzuki Miyake, a sophomore who belongs to the School of Economics, in the College of Human and Social Sciences, participated in the Cultural Exchange Program in Kazan and St. Petersburg in March, 2018. Ms. Miyake reported her learning experience. She took a class on the history and culture of Kazan, a city in the Republic of Tatarstan, at Kazan Federal University. Then she visited St. Petersburg State University and Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University. At Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University, Kanazawa University students made a presentation. Ms. Miyake was overwhelmed by the high intelligence of students from Kazan Federal University. Their eyes shone as talked about each one’s favorite exhibit at the Museum and the Museum of History. She said that their enthusiasm made her rethink what it means to the study.
After the two students’ presentations, the audience of this meeting asked many questions. It was a proof that the students had much interest about Russia.
